In between working on the Thunder 6 we also decided to look at our power amplifiers which although universally liked by all who heard them we felt could still be bettered, with some work, so after adopting some of the work done on the CD player, like grounding regimes and input filters and then with the release of some very new a special output devices and some tweaks here and there we believe we have produced a monster of an amplifier which exceeds all of our demands.

Quite simply this is the best power amp we have yet produced.

It has a full green standby circuit which consumes less than 3W and a full array of user modes with full comms. Links for any application.  It can be controlled remotely via IR, RS232, or our own TalKom system, a spin off from our professional products.

With a healthy 200W into 8 Ohms available and over 1kW burst  into 1 Ohm there is no speaker on the planet that will frighten this amplifier, at least not in a normal domestic environment. It can accommodate both balanced and un-balanced inputs via its switched, buffered inputs and has two sets of custom protected speaker terminals. A massive internal heatsink keeps thermal conditions under control for improved long term reliability.

Sound quality is right up there with the very best wether reproducing the huge demands of Rock music or a Symphony Orchestra in full flight or the simplicity and delicacy required by the solo artist or string quartet. This is one very accomplished amplifier which should be on everyones short list.

What is more it looks stunning and does not need a small house to put it in, each will comfortably fit on the shelf of a normal Hi-Fi rack thus offering the best of both worlds from the performance to the cosmetic.
